Your account, settings, and notifications in the cleaner app
Everything about your account lives on the Me page — open it by tapping your name and avatar at the top of Today. Alongside your availability, you'll find your personal account details and a short list of settings — your language, the app's appearance, and how you're notified when your company messages you. This page walks through those settings; your working hours and start address have their own page (see Availability, time off, and your start address).
Your account
Near the top of Me is an Account card with your personal login details, separate from your work:
- Name — how you appear to your company across the app.
- Email — the address you sign in with. You can change it any time; we email a confirmation link to both your old and new address to keep the change secure.
- Phone — an optional number.
- Password — set or change it any time (at least 12 characters).
This is your own login. Changing it here doesn't affect anyone else at your company.
Language and appearance
- Language — pick the language you want to use the app in. The cleaner app is fully translated: your choice changes every screen, and it's also the language your messages are translated into for you. Ten languages are available, including Spanish, Ukrainian, and Polish.
- Appearance — choose Light, Dark, or System (follow your phone). It's a per-device choice and takes effect immediately.
Notifications and push
There are two different kinds of notification, and only one of them has a switch.
Job notifications always reach you. When you're put on a job, taken off one, or a job on your schedule moves to a new time, we notify you — by push if you've turned it on for a device, by email otherwise. There is no setting to turn these off, and that's deliberate: they're how you find out you have work. You'll get the date and time; the address, access notes and checklist stay in the app behind your login.
Message emails have a switch. The Notifications row is your own control for the emails you get when your company messages you. Keep it on to be emailed about a new message, or turn it off to mute those emails — it's your setting, it's self-serve (your company doesn't control it), and it takes effect right away. Turning it off does not affect the job notifications above.
Just below is Push on this device. Turn it on to get a system notification — the kind that shows on your lock screen even when the app is closed — instead of an email when your company messages you. A few things to know:
- It's per device: turn it on for each phone or tablet where you want push. The subscription on that device is what you're switching on.
- While push is on, a notification arrives as a push on that device instead of an email — one channel, not both. That applies to job notifications as well as messages. Turn push off (or use a device where it's off) and it comes by email as usual.
- Push needs the app installed. On an iPhone, open the app in Safari and choose Add to Home Screen first, then open it from that icon and allow notifications — iOS only delivers push to an installed app. On Android and desktop Chrome, you can turn it on directly.
- Tapping the notification opens the cleaner app — your Messages for a message, your schedule for a job notification.
If the row says push isn't available, it usually means the app isn't installed yet on that device, or your browser doesn't support it — the email still reaches you either way.
Payouts and help
- Payouts is marked soon — the payout rail isn't live yet. Your Money tab already shows the pay you've earned on completed jobs honestly; paying it out through the app comes later.
- The Ask row opens grounded, in-app help you can type to. Voice capture is coming; the typed help works today.
