Invite clients to their customer portal

The customer portal gives each client their own view of your work together: upcoming and past cleanings, the photo stream, the named cleaner, messages, and their invoices. You control who gets in — every client starts out without access until you send an invite.

Invites are sent from the People tab in your owner cabinet (it opens on Clients), one tap per client. There's no password to set up on their side: the invite is an email link.

Send an invite from the client record

Open the People tab in your owner cabinet — it starts on Clients. Each client row shows a portal status pill: Not invited yet, Invited (with the email you used), or In portal once they've accepted.

To invite someone:

  1. Check the email field on their row — it's pre-filled with the client's on-file email, and you can edit it before sending.
  2. Tap Invite. You'll see a confirmation like "Portal invite sent to client@email.com," and the status pill switches to Invited.

The client receives an email with a sign-in link — they tap it and land straight in their portal, no password dance. If the link expires or gets lost, the button on their row now reads Resend; send a fresh one anytime. For later visits, they can always sign in by email from the sign-in page: it sends them a sign-in link and a 6-digit code.

The invite box stays available even after a client shows In portal, so you can invite another household member at a different email for the same client.

What your client sees

The portal has four tabs along the bottom — Today, Messages, Cleanings, and Me — plus a round ✦ Ask button beside them:

Clients can also add the portal to their phone's home screen straight from the browser — no app store needed. For the full customer-side walkthrough, see Your portal.

Requests come to you for approval

Clients can ask for changes from their portal — a re-book, a reschedule to a preferred date, or a pause while they're away. Sending a request changes nothing by itself: the client sees "the office will confirm," and the request lands on your Requests page (also reachable from your inbox via All requests & pauses).

Each pending request shows what the client wants, and you choose Approve or Decline:

The customer never edits your schedule directly; you always have the final say.
