Complete jobs and take photos
Once you tap Start, the app becomes your work screen: a live timer, a room checklist, and a camera button. This article walks a job from Start to the Job complete summary — and explains why the photos are worth a few extra seconds.
If you're looking for how jobs show up on your day in the first place, start with Your day and jobs.
Start the job
Open a job to see its details: the client's name, the time, the estimated duration, the task list, and any notes from the client — access instructions, pets, allergies, parking. If the client has a service window set, you'll see it here too.
Tap Start job when you arrive. You can only run one job at a time — if another job is still in progress, the button is grayed out and the app tells you to finish your current job first.
If the visit isn't scheduled for today, the day is shown under the button and starting asks you to confirm — that's a check against opening tomorrow's job by mistake, not a rule against starting early. Confirming starts the timer and your pay for it as usual.
After starting, the screen switches to the live view: a Job in progress banner and a Time on the job timer that starts from the moment you tapped Start and counts up to the job's estimated duration.
Tick rooms as you finish them
Under Progress you'll find the job's room checklist — for example Kitchen, Bathrooms, Bedrooms, Living areas, and Floors & trash. Tap a room to mark it done; tap it again to un-mark it. The counter (like 3/5) updates as you go. On a job you share with a crewmate, the rooms they tick show up on your checklist too, so your next tap builds on their progress instead of undoing it.
As the app puts it: tap each room as you finish, and hit Complete when the place is done.
Add before and after photos
In the Photos section, pick Before or After, then tap Add photo — your phone's camera opens. The photo uploads and appears in the grid with its Before or After label.
A few things to know:
- Photos can only be added while the job is in progress, so take your Before shots right after you tap Start.
- Bad shot? Tap the x on a photo to delete it and re-shoot. You can only delete photos you took yourself, and only while the job is still in progress.
Why bother? Before photos record the condition of the home as you found it; After photos show the result you delivered. If a question ever comes up about a stain, damage, or whether an area was cleaned, your photos are attached to that exact job and speak for themselves. They're also the part of the portal customers love most.
What the customer sees
The work screen has two tabs at the top: You see and one labeled with the client's first name (for example, "Maria sees"). Tap the second tab to preview the client's live view: which rooms are done, which one is in progress, and how many photos have been sent.
In their own customer portal, the client watches the same thing in real time — room progress plus a "Photos from your home" strip that updates live as you upload. Your photos also stay in their Photos gallery afterward, where they can filter Before and After shots.
Finish the job
When the place is done, tap Finish job. You'll land on the Job complete summary: how long the job actually took, rooms cleaned, and photos sent. If your hourly rate is set, the summary also shows what you earned on this job.
If any rooms are still unticked, finishing asks first — it names how many are left and where you are ("3 rooms aren't ticked — you're at 2/5"), and reminds you that finishing stops the timer and sends the client their bill. You can still finish anyway; the question is there because it can't be undone, not to stop you. With every room ticked, Finish job stays a single tap.
If you have another job coming up, its card appears right on the summary — or tap Back to Today to return to your day.
