Signing in and finding your cabinet
Cleaner OS gives each person one home: owners run the business from the owner cabinet, cleaners work from the cleaner app, and customers follow their cleanings in the customer portal. Everyone signs in at the same place — the sign-in page — and Cleaner OS sends you to the right cabinet automatically based on your role.
This article covers the two ways to sign in, where each role lands, how to sign out, and what to do if you end up somewhere unexpected.
Sign in with email and password
On the sign-in page, enter your email and password, then choose Sign in. This is the usual path for owners, who set a password when they create an account. Right after creating a brand-new account, you'll be asked to name your company — that creates your workspace and makes you its owner.
No password? Sign in by email
Cleaners and customers are usually invited by the company and never need a password:
- Open the link in your invite email. It signs you in and connects you to your team or portal in one step.
- Or use a code. On the sign-in page, under No password? Sign in by email, type your email and choose Email me a code. You'll get an email with a sign-in link and a 6-digit code — type the code and choose Sign in with code.
If the code doesn't work, it may have expired. Choose Use a different email or resend the code and send a fresh one.
Your account: name, email, phone, and password
Every cabinet has an Account section: owners find it at the top of the Settings page (tap your avatar), customers on their Me tab, and cleaners on their Me page — tap your name at the top of Today. There you can:
- Set your name — how you appear across your account.
- See or change your sign-in email — the address you use to sign in. Change it any time: we email a confirmation link to your new address (and to your current one too, when both confirmations are required) to keep it secure, and the change finishes once you confirm.
- Add a phone number — optional, for account contact; leave it blank to remove it.
- Set or change your password — choose a password of at least 12 characters. If you were invited and have only ever signed in with an email link or a code, setting a password here means you can also sign in with your email and password from then on.
Where each role lands
- Owners land in the owner cabinet, on the Pulse dashboard. On a phone, four tabs sit along the bottom — Pulse, Schedule, People (your clients and your team in one place), and Money — and your Inbox is one tap away from Pulse (on a computer it has its own place in the top bar). Messages live behind the labelled chat button at the top of Pulse (beside Notifications), and the ✦ button beside the tabs asks the AI for help.
- Cleaners land in the cleaner app, on the Today screen with the day's jobs. See Your day and jobs.
- Customers land in their portal, on the Today screen with their next clean. See Your portal.
If your account isn't connected to any company yet, you'll see the Name your company screen — the starting point for new owners. But if you were invited to a team or portal, Cleaner OS shows a "You've been invited" prompt instead — asking you to open the invite link from your email to finish joining — so an invite can never turn into an accidental new company. Open that link to join, or — only if you genuinely want your own separate business — choose to start a new company instead (your invite stays open either way).
Signing out
- Owner: tap your avatar (at the top of Pulse on a phone, in the top bar on a computer) to open Settings, then choose Sign out at the bottom.
- Cleaner: tap your name at the top of Today to open your Me page, then choose Sign out at the bottom.
- Customer: open the Me tab and choose Sign out.
Signing out always returns you to the sign-in page.
Landed somewhere unexpected?
- You opened a page from a different cabinet. Cleaner OS redirects you to your own cabinet's home. Each role only sees its own cabinet — this is normal.
- You were sent to the sign-in page. Your session ended or you weren't signed in yet. Sign in and try again.
- "That sign-in link was invalid or has expired." Emailed links are single-use and time-limited. Ask your manager for a new invite, or sign in with a fresh emailed code as described above.
- "This invite has expired" or "This invite has already been used." Ask the person who invited you to send a new invite.
- "This invite was sent to a different email address." Sign out, then sign in with the email address that received the invite.
- You were invited but don't see the "Join" prompt. Cleaner OS matches pending invites by email address. If you signed in with a different email than the one that was invited — or the invite has expired — you'll see Name your company instead of the Join prompt. Sign out, then sign in with the email that received the invite, or ask for a new invite to the email you use.
